Originally released in 1994 on a run of 10 cassettes each with a passport photo taken on the day of release, Blue Kanues was the debut solo album of Isobel Mckenna. Blue Kanues was the name of her previous band that performed from 1987 - 1993 and released several cassettes.

These songs were all written and played by Isobel on borrowed 4 track machines and instruments at the Friends of Flemington Social Club between 1993 and 1994.
